The board doesn't appear

• Check that Checkme is added and turned on for this chat, as the guide for Claude or ChatGPT shows.
• The connector's address must be https://dzchess.app/mcp, with nothing added.
• Ask again in plain words: “Let's play chess.”

Claude says Press Send

Claude waits for your moves on the board, but only for a few minutes at a time. If it has stopped waiting, the board puts your move in Claude's message box and says Press Send: press Send in the chat, and Claude answers. The game then carries on as before.

ChatGPT doesn't answer my moves

• Check that “ChatGPT answers on the board only” was on when the game started: see Setting up a game. With it on, ChatGPT waits for your moves on the board.
• While ChatGPT is still writing, the chat's message box can't send. Press Stop in the chat, or write in the board's message box instead.

You opened another board. Older boards in this browser freeze, so that you play on one at a time: scroll down to the newer one.

This game has ended and is no longer available

Games are kept for a day after their last move, then deleted. Ask for a new game in the chat.

I lost on time while I was away

Your clock runs on your turn, even with the board closed. For a game you can leave and come back to, choose Untimed: see The clock.

The assistant tried an illegal move

Every move is checked before it reaches the board. An illegal move is refused, and the assistant has to play another.
